SCHOLARSHIPS

To enhance the participation of qualified participants, NATO provides partial financial support to qualified applicants. The amount of the scholarship depends upon the availability of funds and the directions provided by NATO and other grant giving agencies.

We want to direct your attention to the following:

  1. Special funds are available to assist participation in the ASI by scientists from Greece, Portugal, and Turkey. Once a participant has registered, the directors of the ASI will contact the national representatives of Greece, Portugal, and Turkey for additional funds.
  2. NSF provides travel awards for a limited number of U.S. graduate students and post-doctoral fellows to attend the ASI. Once a participant has registered, the directors of the ASI will contact the NSF for additional funds.
  3. ASI participants from non-NATO countries, industry, and government laboratories are ineligible to receive funds from the NATO grant. Scholarships for these participants are continugent upon funds the directors may receive from non-NATO sources.
  4. Decisions for the reimbursement level will give priority to junior scientists.
