Research Interests
Our group's interest focuses on the use of first principles:
- Total energy calculations to study electron-phonon interactions, superconductivity, martensitic phase transformations, and non-linear or anharmonic phenomena.
- Electronic and magnetic properties of rare earth metals and compounds including mixed valent and heavy fermion materials.
- Nuclear ordering in metals at ultralow temperatures.
- Magneto-optical properties of materials.
- Spin dynamics.
